This large flat salad bowl is made by Falcon Enamelware and is a versatile bowl to have in your kitchen because it can also be used in the oven. The pillarbox red colour is on the external surface of the bowl with white enamel on the inside surface. The bowl is dishwasher safe and can be used in ovens at temperatures up to 270 degrees C.

You could use it for roast vegetable straight from the oven to the table, or maybe a fennel gratin. Equally, if you have the space, it could be that bowl that sits permanently on your kitchen surface to house onions, garlic and ginger – ingredients that don’t need to be in the fridge but might need corralling into one set place.

As with all ceramic materials be careful to avoid chipping.
